Roatán, a popular cruise destination, is an island in the Caribbean off the northern coast of Honduras. It is located between the islands of Útila and Guanaja, and it’s the largest of the bay islands of Honduras.
The island was formerly known in English as Ruatan and Rattan.

The island consists of two municipalities: José Santos Guardiola in the east and Roatán, including the Cayos Cochinos, further south in the west.

West Bay Beach
Ranked as one of the best beaches in the world! Shallow water that allows you to go far out, great for underwater exploration and for those amazing pictures.
West End Village
Also referred to as “The Strip”, West End is unique for its layout and the people. The village is a tourist hotspot-a mini metropolis- with hotels, restaurants, bars, artisan markets, and plenty of water-based activities. Half the town is fronted by Half Moon Bay, a perfectly crescent-shaped, palm-lined beach. You can spend your day enjoying the strip and the night with fun happy hours with live bands. It’s a lively atmosphere.
Monkey and Sloth Hangout
This unique island attraction is a must for exotic animal lovers wishing to interact with Roatan sloths, Capuchin Monkeys, Scarlet Macaws, and parrots! You can pet and hold them and snap a few photos.
Mana Wakie Eco Nature Park
Located on the north side of Roatan, Honduras, in the mist of the jungle in the community of Man O War Harbor, near the West Bay Beach. This park is home for many different exotic animals. If you are a history & animal person, you will have the chance to discover the old history landmark and culture of the islanders. After the tour of the park is done, you will be guided to the beach where you can spend the rest of the day lounging by the sea.
